| This is a delightful and comfortable room, facing onto Quay Street. There are wide wooden floorboards, mellowed with age, a low windowsill, tall sash window, two ceiling lights, a tv point, and numerous power points. A particularly attractive feature of the room is the raised fireplace, which is on a huge flag stone hearth, which extends all the way to the wall in one direction, and provides loads of extra seating space or simply somewhere to park your glass safely. There is a beam which extends right across the ceiling - this was painted by one of our predecessors, but could presumably be stripped back to the wood again. The broad shelving you can see on either side of the fireplace is built-in, as is the shelving just to the left of the window. There is a radiator on the wall opposite the fireplace, towards the window end of the room. | |||||||||||||
